It’s been a tough week for Google. First, more companies joined on the “Street View-invades-our-privacy” bandwagon. Now it appears the world’s most popular search engine and some of its sister sites experienced a series of problems today.
cnet reports that the main Google site was very slow, and for some, inaccessible. Google News was down for more than three hours. The problems also affected Google-related sites Gmail, AdSense and YouTube, just to name a few.
The international “crisis” seemed to clear up for most users by 9:30 a.m. EDT. Google blamed a traffic routing error for the problems.
