The next generation of the popular BlackBerry touchscreen device is coming soon. Research in Motion Ltd. co-CEO Jim Balsillie confirmed that it is in development.
The next version of the Storm is rumored to have integrated Wi-Fi and a November launch date, but Balsillie didn’t comment on features or when it would arrive.
He did tell analysts that the Storm has been a "huge success in terms of sales and adoption."
RIM’s other co-CEO, Mike Lazaridis, said in April that the company has more touchscreens coming soon, and plans to learn from the flaws in its first-generation touchscreen device when it comes to new products. The Storm has been maligned by some for bugs, freezing and glitches.
