XMission announced Monday that it has deployed 10 gigabit Ethernet IP transit services from XO Communications Inc., increasing its network capacity from 13gbps to 22gbps.

XMission is an independent ISP offering broadband Internet connectivity, digital phone service, Web and e-mail hosting, and colocation services to residents and businesses in Utah.

"With our new 10 gigabit connection to XO, XMission has nearly doubled its available bandwidth and given its customers the most diverse and robust network in Utah," said XMission President and Founder Pete Ashdown.

According to Ashdown, this increase in capacity allows XMission to offer even more competitive pricing on business services, provide better redundancy, and accommodate additional high-bandwidth customers.

XO offers a range of managed voice, data and IP services in more than 75 metropolitan markets across the United States.
