CenturyLink, the combination of CenturyTel and Embarq, has begun the laying-off process.
The company announced last week that it axed 55 former Embarq employees in July.
A CenturyLink spokeswoman told media outlets the telco is not through with its so-called staffing decisions. We take that to mean, expect more job cuts, and probably on the Embarq side, since CenturyTel was the purchaser in the deal.
