Driven by its incumbent-carrier business, Metaswitch Networks said its overall revenue for the year ending Aug. 31 grew 4.2 percent, to $113.7 million, with operating margins of 20 percent-plus.
The Enfield, U.K.-based provider of softswitches and VoIP infrastructure was named the top vendor of Class 5 softswitch licenses earlier this year by Infonetics Research. The company said that eight of the top 10 incumbent operators in North America now use VoIP infrastructure from Metaswitch.
Metaswitch also had some corporate housekeeping to talk about: The company is unifying its carrier services unit with its network protocols division, which previously operated under the Data Connection Limited brand. Both arms will now be incorporated under Metaswitch brand.
