NCTA Cable Show — Infrastructure solutions provider CommScope recently added customer location No. 100 to AIM 2.0, the company’s automated inventory management program offered to broadband cable customers.
CommScope calls AIM 2.0 a cutting-edge, collaborative inventory management program that helps customers run efficient distribution centers and other warehouse facilities. AIM 2.0 enables cable operators to benefit from CommScope’s expertise in inventory management, helping them increase inventory turns, improve operational efficiency and ensure adequate stock.
“We estimate that the AIM program has resulted in approximately $10 million in combined cash flow savings for our customers at their participating locations,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president, CommScope Broadband Solutions. “As a world-class manufacturer, CommScope’s extensive experience in managing supply chain and inventory is made accessible to customers who participate in the program.”
CommScope launched AIM in 2006 with 10 customer locations. The program today, AIM 2.0, includes a simplified process of information transfer. By giving CommScope visibility into their inventory levels, CommScope says cable operators can rely on it to manage stock and notify buyers when cable supply needs to be replenished. As a proven collaborative inventory management program, AIM illustrates the value of having a highly efficient supply-chain solution.
