Broadening its partnerships with regional operators and vendors, M5 Networks said it will partner with Entel Systems to provide hosted VoIP to small and medium-sized businesses. Based in New Jersey, Entel is a regional distributor of IP phones and voice mail systems, and is a large distributor of both Toshiba and Avaya systems.
Adoption of hosted VoIP accelerated during the economic downturn, and many analysts expect it to become the telephony system of choice for most small businesses. "Hosted VoIP systems are gaining traction,” said Don Giordano, co-owner of Entel, in a statement, “and for many of our customers, VoIP is the optimal solution.”
New York City-based M5 has announced a series of partnerships in the last few months to expand its distribution channels. Earlier this month M5 said it would team with CorData Inc. to provide VoIP systems, along with managed IT services, to companies in the Atlanta area. The company also will partner with Firm Tech to deliver VoIP to companies across the Southeast, particularly legal firms.
M5 also builds its hosted-VoIP technology into specific enterprise applications. Last year the company said it would integrate its hosted M5Connect platform with JobDiva, a CRM application for the staffing and recruiting industry. The M5 Web API connects JobDiva with M5’s hosted IP telephony platform.
