Billing behemoth Amdocs will provide a full BSS suite to VoIP operator Vonage Holdings Corp. under a five-year, managed services agreement. The agreement covers the support of Vonage's U.S., Canadian and United Kingdom operations.
“We’re continuing to expand our product offerings which require more flexibility in our customer management, billing and ordering capabilities,” said Nick Lazzaro, senior vice president of product development and information technology for Vonage, in a statement. “The Amdocs solution will help us improve time-to-market for innovative products and services, and deliver a superior experience for our customers.”
Vonage has been no stranger to economic struggles, which may be a reason that it has turned to Amdocs as it starts to roll out new products. “Vonage is a pioneer in VoIP and a recognized innovator,” said Brian Shepherd, group president of marketing and mobile services for Amdocs. “Leveraging Amdocs’ managed services excellence and integrated product portfolio can help accelerate Vonage’s business growth and operational efficiencies as it brings new products to market.”
Vonage will deploy the Amdocs BSS Pack — an off-the-shelf solution that delivers Amdocs’ charging, ordering, enterprise product catalog and activation management systems, as well as the required implementation services and business processes. The Amdocs BSS solution enables companies to launch new products more quickly, bundle products and promotions, increase sales and offer better customer service, while improving operational efficiencies and reducing costs.
