Telecom Personal has introduced Personal E-M@il, a mass market push e-mail service based on Synchronica's Mobile Gateway middleware. The service allows Argentinean consumer, prosumer, and business subscribers to enjoy push e-mail and synchronization services without needing to upgrade or replace their existing mobile handsets.
Telecom Personal, which has 15 million subscribers in Argentina, is investing heavily in data-focused, value-added services and is increasing its transmission and bandwidth infrastructure to support this.
Synchronica's Mobile Gateway provides Telecom Personal with a value-added messaging service that is designed to increase overall subscriber revenue and improve customer loyalty.
Personal E-M@il is available to any Telecom Personal subscriber and uses the built-in email and synchronization clients, as well as e-mail to MMS and e-mail to SMS to support any handset connected to the network. The service is provided on an unlimited basis at a flat monthly rate of ARS 9 (USD 2.3).
“Personal E-M@il is strategically very important to Telecom Personal," said Ignacio Nores, Telecom Personal's marketing director. “From the beginning, we were resolute that the service must be user-friendly, clientless, and accommodate the circumstances of each of our customers, regardless of the type of handset they own. Synchronica Mobile Gateway ticks all of these boxes and is proving itself to be an innovative and valuable addition to our portfolio of value-added services."
“The launch of Personal E-M@il provides a strong endorsement of Synchronica's emerging market focus. Synchronica Mobile Gateway allows Telecom Personal to offer an affordable, and more importantly, accessible mobile email solution to the country's mass market," said Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica.
Telecom Personal is the mobile subsidiary of Telecom Argentina.
