Service provider North State Communications of High Point, N.C., has chosen Cisco ASR routers as its Carrier Ethernet solution, an integral part of its next-gen network buildout, key to offering customers and businesses with new services.
North State, which serves North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad region with voice, data and advanced TV, has a potential customer base of 1.6 million, the population of the High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem area. Progressive development in advanced unified communications and collaboration services, and growth in mobile and video are contributing factors to expansion of North State's advanced fiber-optic network.
"This network upgrade and expansion furthers our commitment to providing the area's best advanced TV and fastest Internet products, delivering an incomparable customer experience," said Royster Tucker, president and chief operation officer, North State Communications.
Cisco says its ASR family of routers has a full set of service activation and provisioning systems that accelerate time to market without increasing operational expenses. The case-study video below highlights the equipment provider’s work with North State.
