Handset maker HTC has sued Apple in court and filed an amended complaint at the U.S. International Trade Commission, according to media reports.

Taiwan-based HTC has alleged infringement of patents that it obtained last week from Google, Bloomberg reported. Apple reportedly is facing a suit in federal court in Delaware as well as an amended complaint at the International Trade Commission.

“HTC will continue to protect its patented inventions against infringement from Apple until such infringement stops," Bloomberg quoted HTC General Counsel Grace Lei.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in litigation land, Apple has filed a suit with the Tokyo District Court, seeking to ban sales of some Samsung Electronics devices, according to Reuters. Sources told the news agency that Apple is requesting the suspension of sales of Galaxy S and S II smartphones as well as the Galaxy Tab 7 in Japan.
