Apple’s iPhone subscribers are extremely devoted to their device.
A UBS survey finds that Apple boasts a retention rate of 89 percent, reported AllThingsD.com, a website owned by Dow Jones.
“Of our respondents who are current Apple subscribers, only six percent indicated that they intended to move to a different OEM, with four percent saying they were undecided," AllThingsD.com quoted UBS. “This suggests that the retention rate for Apple could end up being as high as 93 percent."
BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion isn’t so fortunate. Over the past 18 months, the Canada-based company’s retention rate has reportedly slipped from 62 percent to 33 percent.
