Entone Inc., a provider of hybrid TV and connected home solutions, on Tuesday announced the immediate availability of its Amulet 400-series hybrid DVR and the Kamai 400-series streaming receiver for operators in North America.

The Amulet and Kamai products integrate with home networks and allow subscribers to blend and connect to a variety of broadband and cloud-based services from a single device, Entone said. The solutions support personal media sharing throughout a customer’s home via a network connection, either wired or wireless, according to the company. Also, both products feature 2D and 3D graphics acceleration to support sophisticated user interfaces, and the 400-series is compatible with third-party DRM and middleware.

“Our new 400-series provides end-users a much richer user experience while offering service providers the opportunity to deliver more revenue-generating services to grow their subscriber base," said Mark Evensen, Entone founder and CTO, in a statement. “The 400-series includes enhanced management and diagnostic tools that can help operators lower their operating cost and improve customer satisfaction."

Management and administrative improvements of the 400-series include the following: Automatic Configuration Server, which automates the configuration and management of devices and supports flow-through provisioning of services; Quality of Experience monitoring tools that provide inspection of video as it is received at a customer’s home; and Entone’s Ensight remote diagnostic app, which enables customer service agents to remotely observe and control customer devices.

Cupertino, Calif.-based Entone will demonstrate the 400-series next week at TelcoTV 2011 (booth 433) in New Orleans.
