Speculation over the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon's network is becoming nearly as frequent as the annual conjecture over the debut of the next iPhone.

Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. mobile provider, has confirmed that it will sell the Galaxy Nexus later this year, but precisely when has been the subject of repeated speculation.

In the latest conjecture, TFTS has provided a screen shot that indicates Verizon Wireless will sell Samsung's Android "Ice Cream Sandwich"-powered smartphone on Nov. 21.

Of course, that could change: The Galaxy Nexus has been rumored to be launching on several different dates this month.

The Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone to incorporate Google's new operating system named after a summer treat: Ice Cream Sandwich, which combines the best of the Android smartphone and tablet OSs.

Rumors have swirled that other U.S. carriers besides Verizon Wireless could sell the device as well, but Samsung hasn't confirmed anything.

Samsung recently tweeted that the gadget will arrive in Europe on Nov. 17.
