Amino Communications has reached a major shipment milestone.

Amino's 4 millionth device – an M540 PVR IPTV set-top box – will be deployed by Glashart Media, a Netherlands-based fiber network operator. The two companies have been working together for the last six years.

Amino says its Aminet STB range has been installed in more than 85 countries around the world. The company's products meet growing demand for IPTV from network operators, hospitality and enterprise markets.

“We are pleased to share this important milestone with our valued partner Amino," said Glashart Media’s managing director, Bert Meijerink. "From our initial deployment of the A110 SD set-top box in 2005 through the A130 HD devices and our current deployment of the next generation M540 PVRs, we have always been impressed by the quality, reliability and advanced functionality of Amino’s offering – a view shared by our many customers."

“This is a great achievement and one which everyone associated with Amino is very proud," said Amino CEO Andrew Burke. "While our products have changed over the years, our values have remained consistent in terms of quality, customer focus and deep industry expertise. Amino is an export-led success story with our devices deployed by over 800 customers around the world. It’s fitting that the four millionth device has been deployed in Europe where we have seen great success over the years."
