AT&T will bring its 4G LTE wireless network to more markets this month, an AT&T executive said Wednesday.
And New York City will be among those markets, John Stephens, AT&T's senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, said during a UBS investor conference in New York.
The Dallas-based wireless giant already offers 4G services in 15 markets, including Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and AT&T anticipates covering 70 million people with its LTE network by the end of the month.
Reports already have surfaced that AT&T has begun activating its network in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.
A spokeswoman for AT&T did not return calls placed this morning seeking details on AT&T's LTE expansion plans.
