Level 3 Communications, Inc. on Monday announced an agreement with iMusti, Inc., a global provider of music and video content produced in India, to deliver its caching and download service.
The caching and download service increases bandwidth and storage capacity and enables iMusti to deliver content to computers, smartphones, tablets and televisions in a fast and reliable manner, Level 3 said.
"iMusti's licensing sources include India's top record labels and movie production houses, which all provide high-quality content that requires efficient, secure and reliable delivery on a global scale," iMusti founder and CEO Samir Khandwala said in a statement.
"Our customers demand a superior experience, and in our search for a CDN provider, we found that Level 3 delivered the best performance for uploading and downloading content," Khandwala added. "This is particularly critical to us in light of our recent agreement with Samsung to develop applications for its web-connected Smart TV platform."
