If you happen to be in Spain next month for one of the world's big mobile events, check out Research in Motion's new operating system.

The Canadian handset maker of BlackBerry devices told Pocket-lint that it will unveil the BlackBerry 10 platform at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The trade show is being held Feb. 27 - March 1.

Last month, RIM renamed its next-generation platform to BlackBerry 10 from BBX following a legal dispute with a software company in New Mexico, and it's recently come to light that the company won't release a BlackBerry 10 smartphone until late this year.

RIM is only working on one BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the BlackBerry London, according to BGR, which reported that the company has cancelled a few handsets, including what was supposed to be its first BlackBerry 10 smartphone: the BlackBerry Colt.
