Verizon Wireless today announced that it's just about ready to sell Motorola's DROID RAZR MAXX at its stores and online through its website.
The wireless giant will sell the Android-powered smartphone for $299.99 with a new two-year customer contract, beginning Thursday, Jan. 26.
Motorola says the DROID RAZR MAXX is distinguishable from other wireless devices based on its battery power: Verizon Wireless said customers can chat on the phone for more than 21 hours straight on a single charge.
Customers who buy the phone must subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package.
The MAXX has a dual-core, 1.2GHz processor; 1GB RAM; runs on Android 2.3; and a 4.3-inch display. It's predecessor, the Droid RAZR, just released in November, is already seeing a price drop to $199 in anticipation of the MAXX's release.
