Instead of getting news or the Hour of Power one recent Sunday morning, a Colorado woman turned on her TV to find something a little more X-rated.
Irene Friedman of Carbondale, Colo., flipped to one of her cable channels on Jan. 22 to find that there was pornography being piped into her home, the Post Independent of Glenwood Springs, Colo., reported.
Comcast apologized to the woman after the error.
“We still feel that this was a fairly isolated incident," said Cindy Parsons, a Comcast vice president in public relations. The report did not go on to explain how it happened.
Comcast said it's taken the necessary steps to ensure this won't happen again.
Friedman accepted Comcast's apology. She told the newspaper that her interaction with the cableco was “a very cordial call, with an appropriate apology and gracious thank you."
