Embracing Consumerization In the Enterprise

Available: On Demand

Speakers: George Hamilton

According to Yankee Group’s 2011 US Enterprise Mobility: Employee Survey, the No. 1 reason employees use consumer cloud applications at work is because they are familiar with them from their non-work life.

Thirty percent of employees have installed consumer applications on their work-issued mobile device, but 49 percent also say IT does not grant permission to do so. IT can try to lock things down, but the long-term value of cloud computing and applications is the foundation it lays for user self-service and communications consumption.

Consumerization has become mainstream within corporations and to help support the new way of working, IT departments need to embrace, not just tolerate, this phenomenon. Operators can help.

In this Webinar, you will learn:

  • Why enterprises are acting now to support cloud applications
  • Which consumer cloud applications are enterprise employees using and why are they using them
  • The challenges of cloud for the enterprise IT team and how service providers can help
  • Successful approaches to adopting, adapting and supporting cloud applications
  • Critical questions for cloud solutions providers
